First Day of school jitters, and T3 slower than expected

I am finally back in school. I was a little jittery being back full-time on campus. I was happy about the thought of having a t3 connection. But I am finding it to be very slow. Maybe it\'s this pc.

My roommate already had a pc here. But this seems slower than my 56k modem I had at home.

Well how many computers is it split between

My school got today off cause we hadnt used any snow days.

Screw the hype, unless you\'re at a big state university like USC or MIT most school internet connections just suck.  It sounds great, "We\'re upgrading to big fat data-pipe T-3\'s for super fast connections..." but the connection is divided among a kerzijillion computers with half of them constantly downloading warez or running FTPs.  It\'s a shame.

And Q, can I ask why did you take the off-time from college?  I\'m back at GMU after a semester out due to bad grades. :P  No jitters from me seeing as how I\'m a 4th-yr junior, especially when I see the massive flood of college chicks everyday.  This is truly my fav part about college.

PS- How\'s your roomie?  I\'m living back at home because I simply hate having a roommate in a cramped room.

In my high school we have a T-1 and it runs faster than my friends cable modem.  Hell its not even close

My friend has a 155 mbit connection at his school. Damnit I envy him. :evil:

A few days ago he downloaded with 1.5+ mb/sec. And this weekend he had dl\'ed 70 gigs off the net (prolly pr0n ).

I took off time from school because I had  problems at home that forced me to leave. So I went to work.

I think it\'s just this pc. I was going to hook my up mine but he has everything hooked up to his so I said forget it. And I don\'t want 2 pc\'s in this room taking up space. So I will deal with it.

I have 2 roommates there pretty cool. I would stay home, but when you have coed dorms and chicks can come right over 2 roomys don\'t bother you.


P.s for some reason the connection is running pretty damn fast right now I don\'t know what it was but it reall fast now.
