Most likely Chrono\'s Nintendo numbers are more accurate.  Some sales trackers get information from more stores than other sales trackers, which is the case here.  Famitsu (my sales numbers) probably leaves some stores out of their tracking, while Chrono\'s numbers probably leaves less stores out.

Yeah it seems kind of stupid that consoles like the PS1 and handhelds like the GBA are viewed as being in direct competition with the PS2, X-box and GC. It\'s pretty obvious that these consoles are simply not in the same demographic, and that no one who wants a console is going to be satisfied with a GBA(not that there\'s anything wrong with it ;)); they\'re going to go buy a PS2 or Xbox or GC sooner or later.

 you completly missed the point.

the xbox is selling so bad, that the psx, a console released 7+ years ago is beating the xbox.. the xbox to the japaneese does not even exist, there are no games in the top 50. Quite frankly it does not exisit.

I hate Famitsu charts... they\'re not real... I\'ve made another one in excel... download it, simple but better.

You are right about the Xbox not existing to the Japanese.  As many posts have pointed out earlier, the Japanese taste in regards to games is a bit screwy.  The Xbox doesn\'t even have a decent lineup here in the states at this time.

Once again I went to a video game retailer hoping to add to my very small Xbox library and I ended up walking out with Twisted Metal Black ($19.99 new) and a PS2 memory card (I finally found another one!).  After pacing back and forth over the 10 foot section of Xbox games I didn\'t see one that caught my eye.  I thought to myself "Halo - check, PGR - check, Bloodwake - check and Blood Omen 2... damn I have all these!"

I almost bought Ico, but I don\'t know much about it and besides I have been adding to my Turbo Duo/PCEngine collection - its sad, but I would rather buy old Duo games than a mediocre Xbox game.

Every system has its\' drought right after launch...and right now I\'d say they are all having one.  Looks to change this summer-fall...

I ended up purchasing a PS1 game yesterday...

I\'m not having a problem right now,
I recently rented HSG3, that game was very good

and i\'m still catching up on last fall\'s titles, such as DMC
and now with the cheap 20 dollar best sellers, I might pick up one or two of them i\'ve yet to play also

What\'s HSG3?

DMC was so good...

This little drought is actually good for me...I never owned a PS so I missed out on thoroughly(not just at a friends\' house) enjoying some older classics.

I recently bought PS2, so far I\'ve gone through Jak and Daxter, ICO, FFX, and Devil May Cry.  I tried SoE, MGS2, and GTA3...didn\'t appeal to me.

I bought FFIX yesterday and after that I will buy Chrono Cross.  Hopefully by the time I\'m done with those Evil Twin, Sega GT 2002, and Enclave will be out and I can start enjoying some next generation goodness...

HSG3 == Hot Shots Golf 3.  It sold over a million copies in Japan, but I don\'t think it\'s doing nearly that good here in America.

That\'s cause we have enough room on our countries to make and play on real golf courses, relatively inexpensively.  Japanese golf courses cost and arm and a leg (after dusk).
