Thinking about buying a PS2
« on: May 21, 2002, 04:53:03 PM »
I recently heard that the price of the PS2 has been dropped a hundred bucks.  I live in Canada and the price was $449, it is now $295.  I think this is a pretty good reason to buy one.  The trouble is that my parents dont agree.  They think I am too old for things like that.  I am 18 by the way.  They think it is a waste of money.  I get paid on Thursday about $160, so I could have a PS2 in about 3 weeks.  Are there any suggestions on whether or not to buy one? Thanks!

If it\'s your money it really shouldn\'t matter to your parents.
It\'s not like you\'re asking them for money to blow on crack-whores or Nortel.;)

What do you want to do?
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

tell yer parents that drugs, cigarettes and alcohol are a waste of money, not gaming

unless of course, that statement would be void if you do any of these

Clowd, which system he wants was not the issue...it\'s whether he should defy his parents and get his PS2.

Would it really piss off your parents if you got one?  If it\'s going to set off a nuclear war in your house, don\'t bother...if it\'s just going to cause them to give you the all hateful disapproving look for a week...what are you waiting for?!?

BTW, I\'m 20 and I don\'t see myself getting out of gaming for quite some time...

If you\'re earning the money.. then you should be able to do whatever the f*ck you please with it. Go buy a PS2 if you want, and to hell what they think. As long as you\'ve got your bills covered and they\'re not having to pick up the slack for you.. go right ahead I say.

Tell your parents that if you don\'t buy a PS2 you will become a male stripper.
