At the end of the game, when you are playing as Raiden, and he\'s naked, they insinuate that the entire thing was set up, and that everything was a test to produce another Solid Snake. (Not physically, but you know what I mean.)
What I\'m getting at is this; What if the game we\'ve been playing isn\'t how the story went? What if their roles were reversed in the original game? We\'d all be seeing what really happened, but through the wrong eyes, so to speak. :surprised: That would be a very cool twist. That would also explain the role-reversal that they show in those pics, like how Raiden is in every scene that we used Snake in, and so on. Sorry if I ruined anything by posting this.
So, you\'re saying that either we were NOT actually playing Solid Snake in MGS1 ; thus concluding that MGS1 was a simulation itself all the time and that Solid Snake is a made up character by the Patriots who are in fact in our reality just Hideo Kojima and his staff ? (So the real player character in MGS1 was some rookie like Raiden playing the Solid Snake VR character)
Or... , you\'re saying that when the Big Shell level commenced in MGS2, that somehow they brainwashed the real Solid Snake and that they led him to believe he\'s the rookie Raiden ? Now that would be an awesome twist - kinda like in the Matrix. I guess then, that in MGS3 he "awakens" from that brainwash and takes on the Patriots/Matrix. The only downside to all this is that we\'ll have to pay the full whack again for that game.
The stuff in MGS2 that makes me think that the 2nd theory is true, is when "Campbell" tells Raiden he\'s gonna change his codename to Raiden and that Raiden objects at first ; "What\'s wrong with Snake ? I feel like some legendary mercanary..."
Then "Campbell" tells him the real Solid Snake is dead which would be false according to the 2nd theory.
But there\'s one thing that could dismiss the 2nd theory ; why wouldn\'t "they" (whoever did brainwash Snake) didn\'t kill him then ? Then the must have thought that his chances as "Raiden" would make him fail - why then not kill him, then his chances would be zero...
