can you uninstall it from control panel add/remove programs?

How did you reinstall XP?  Did you start all over?  Did you format anything?  Did you put the new version of XP on a different partition?

HAhahahahaha

mm dont you know

Starting with Win Millenium, you cant use Norton anymore.  Basically they both start fighting for the registry.  In other words, more Gates monopolistic BS

Hmmmm, I had a similar problem. Norton 2001 and below tends not to function too well on XP (I have the pro edition). The lastest version (2002) runs fine, which norton version are you running?

I\'ve also problems with Norton 2002. I bought it 3 months ago, but I can\'t install it in my PC. I\'ve W98 SE installed but when I try to install the program a window says: "You\'ve another version of Norton Antivirus currently installed in your system, please uninstall it before installing ver.2002." But the problem is that I haven\'t any version installed, and not any antivirus running...

I\'ve looked for in registry, programs files... etc, but nothing was found related this problem. Anybody know the problem? Format-fans be quiet please  :D

Have you checked any of the other system files? I presume you had a previous version of Norton before? Anyhow, I have never had a problem with 2002 on XP, maybe its time to upgrade Adan :D

Yes, I think it\'s. But my PC is actually a bit old. It\'s from fall 1998 and my processor (PII-350) didn\'t want to run in XP :D Components and devices installed work fine in this OS and I don\'t wanna more problems installing XP.

Yes I had a previous ver installed so long ago... but I remember that I uninstalled it correctly... is that the problem? how the hell must I uninstall a program that doesn\'t exists?
