Even though I posted them I think the pictures they do look like ****.  I do not like how they made Kano, Cage, or the female Sub-zero or Frost is her name.  And Kitana wears blue not purple but now with the delay maybe they can fix the errors.

Worst character design in recent memory, espically Johnny Cage.

Oh and is there some huge reason that I\'m not aware about, on why the graphics look like crap?

I was wondering the same thing.  Just a couple days ago I played Mortal Combat on the genesis and had so much fun.  And now I look at this and see the graphics haven\'t changed much.  But seriously they are shooting themselves in the foot.  Especially with keeping this whole Sub Zero thing.  I want my classic Sub Zero back!

Credit to once again mk5.org

Not to get confused with Raiden from MGS I\'m going to edit the Mortal Kombat\'s Raiden name to Rayden.

Gamespot has updated with six new screenshots from the Playstation 2 version, two of which featuring the previously-unseen in-game version of Rayden! This time around, Rayden appears to have taken a page from his movie/TV counterpart, for he sports long white hair, with his trademark hat hanging onto his back, and his original jumpsuit replaced by robes and sandals. Whether this is his original costume or an alternate is not known.

Due to copyright restrictions, we are not linking directly to the images. To see these new in-game screenshots, click here.  Here\'s the link:http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters/products/screenindex/0,11104,551915,00.html

Urgh.. first 2 Mortal Combats looked better, not sure about the third :)

let\'s just hope that those are alpha models for gameplay or animation calibration.. or something.
hopefully they get new artists or if old ones are good, do all graphics again. properly.

looks like they strayed away from almost photo realism that tried to accomplish in the previous games, to a more cartton like apearence in this one.  I really don\'t like it at all.

I agree theomen.

What\'s wrong?  They look a little fat...  They don\'t look like real people like in MK1, 2, 3, UMK3, MKT.  MK4 they look like wrestlers from WWF No Mercy and MK5 well don\'t look too much better but they\'ll do.:sleepy:
