Its got more to do with my ISP then my modem. Most isp say that your getting a 56k connection. When indeed your not. My isp is providing a 56k connection. You may have a 56k modem. But may be limited to a 33k connection etc.
56k is 56kbits not bytes.. 8bits = 1 byte. Divide 56 x 8 = 7k. I normaly download around 6.4k a second. 7k if i haven\'t any chat programs running or if i\'m not surfin the net... etc.
At least that\'s something aussies don\'t get screwed over in.. When it comes to cable... Can you say, ripp off.
