Cell Phone problem
« on: August 12, 2002, 04:01:17 PM »
Alright here\'s my problem I went to this place called Tire Farm and got 4 new tires.  They have this plan where if you get 4 new tires you get a free cellphone w/contract.  The phones they had kinda sucked so I got one of the other ones anywayz I paid $50 for the phone and got the verizon service.

My plan is $30 a month free nights/weekends ok so this was on 5/28/2002.  My friend came with me that day and wanted to get a phone but he didn\'t have any credit so he was refused.  He got one at the mall 2 weeks later.  The problem is that so far he\'s gotten 3 bills for his phone while I have gotten none.

Since I got the phone I haven\'t heard a word from verzon not even a thankyou letter or nothing.  It\'s like I don\'t exist to them.  I\'m kinda worried about this I mean it\'s too good to be true; having a free cellphone.  I\'m wondering what\'s up and now I think my phone is sorta broken cuz I keep getting voice mail alerts but when I check it nothing\'s there.  Plus it can\'t go online cuz it says something about the security key.

I can however make and recieve calls to anywhere.  I don\'t use it much.  So I\'m really worried if they either gave me a broken phone, forgot to input me in the computer or are just letting my bill jack up and then hit me with a large sum.  I\'m gonna call them tomorrow.  Does anyone have any suggests or similar experiences?

fess up??? It\'s not even my fault but you\'re right about the bill though.  I\'m sure I\'ll get hit sooner or later.

Yeah chase them up, or they might have to take your car to pay the bill!

God will reward you if you fess up.  Who knows, you may call them and let them know you aren\'t getting billed, then walk outside and find a fresh 20 dollar bill.

Come on, do the right thing.  You will probably be scared to use the phone anyway with the not knowing if you are going to get a huge bill later.  That would blow.

If you don\'t believe in God, well you\'ll just burn in hell anyway.
