I know kopking... I know ! :p

OK, here it is: After a short period of playing (first level) the game gets you ! That menas, in the first level you may think: where´s the action ? But then BAM ! All of a sudden you are IN the game... monsters getting close  to you and you are realy scared of going around the next courner. :sconf: The game reflects very well the charme of a good B movie (for those of you who know the b/w movie) ! The sound and technical work is very good. You´ll hear Wind blowing and the textures are quite good, there are Footsteps in the snow and stuff... Some keys or cards are to find, but quests like those are not that hard. All in all a solid and good Game... Fun to play ! ;)

I haven\'t played enough to post a complete review, but I can tell you a few things about it.  I like it so far, and I\'m impressed with the technical aspects of game. It\'s not a shoddy piece of work.  Textures are very nice, 3D models are well designed, and the character models are great.  The 2D art in the character textures are very cool in my opinion.  The human characters come off looking a bit like the comic art of Richard Corbin, which I like.

If you were a fan of the movie, you will really like this game.  There are MANY references to the movie; this isn\'t just a game which cashes in on the name value of Carpenter\'s film.  For example you will find yourself in Blair\'s ice tunnel very early on, looking at the remains of the flying saucer he tried to build while in confinement.  Later on, you\'ll see the remains of characters from the movie.  I had a laugh when I saw the tipped over "Space Invaders" machine.  I think this was obviously done by fans of the Carpenter film.

I haven\'t played long enough to be able to comment on the general game play or other important aspects.  The first time I started, I sort of did it wrong because I gave away all my weapons, and had to let the other guys do the fighting for me.  Not too reliable, and not the way I wanted to play, so I\'ll have to start over.

I\'ll start a new thread with a more complete review in a day or two.

I picked up the game yesterday and it\'s great!  I was expecting a quick cash in on the Carpenter film, but alot of work went into this game.  If your a fan of the film you should pick it up.

I rented it a few days ago and so far i\'m very impressed.  I\'m always wondering if the guys in my group are infected or not.  The panic and trust meters you have to keep up is a great part of the game, not just a gimmick.  If you expose your group to decapitated or dismembered bodies they make a random comment then proceed to puke all over themselves, all the while their panic meter rises.  When their panic meter fills they will then become useless, shaking and dropping their equipment until you give them an adrenaline shot.  And don\'t shoot your teammates, shooting them will make them lose trust in you, or end up shooting back at you.

Right now i\'m stuck in the area near the kitchen.. i\'ve killed all three walking beasts to earn a member of alpha team\'s trust. Walking beasts make a neat entrance.  They don\'t use doors, you\'ll hear a few knocks then they will bust through a wall and come after your ass.   After that there is this room with 4 rooms adjacent to it with massive stockpiles of ammo.  There are at least 100 enemies that relentlessly attack you.

Sorry if this is a little jumbled up...i\'m so tired and need to get to sleep.  If you are a fan of of games like Resident Evil and the like, you will love this game.  There are so many other gameplay elements I can\'t mention in this post.  I highly recommend this game, at least give it a rental.
