Battlecry Colloctor\'s Edition: Will you?
« on: September 06, 2002, 04:39:56 PM »
Robotech: Battlecry, the cel-shaded action game based on the 80’s cartoon, will soon be released.  As people rush to the stores to pre-order their copies, a subject of debate arises: the Collector’s Edition.  For $30 more than the game alone, purchasers of this collector’s set will receive: the Official Game Soundtrack, a limited-edition shirt, a limited-edition set of cards, a lenticular motion card, and a set of individually-numbered Dog Tags.  Of course, the game itself is also included in this set.

The question is: is the set worth it?  If you ask me, it’s worth every penny, IF you’re a Robotech fan.  No fan of the series could pass this set up, and you KNOW you’ll regret it if you do.  As far as the casual fan goes, the extra goodies may not be worth picking up.  The Collector’s Edition is in extremely short supply, and some stores have already been completely sold out of the item already.  So, if you don’t act now, you may not get the set at all!  Needless to say, though, the game itself will be a masterpiece, and no gamer should go without it this holiday season.  However, is the temptation of the bonus items in the collector’s set worth the extra clams?  That’s something only you can decide.

If you\'re really a huge Robotech fan, then please consider joining the Robotech eTeam.  For more information on how to sign up, how to help out, or how to earn sweet Robotech prizes, including a copy of Battlecry, please visit us at: http://i-squad.net/cgi-bin/loudside.cgi?sf=1&s=yes&u=redalarm&a=Robotech

Why do I get the strange feeling you are one of those new people paid  / promoted by a company to go and post on the top message boards about a given product?

Heh...I\'m not in it for the shirt, man.  It\'s all about the soundtrack CD- I want it in my car!!!!

Oh, and to Living-In-Clip, I\'m not being paid a dime.  It\'s all about spreading some Robotech love, and I figure that some of you would be interested in showing some love by joining the eTeam.

Robotech: Battlecry will soon be upon us, and in case you haven’t heard, it’s going to blow you away!  The press has been raving about the game ever since E3 2002, and those who have had the chance to play it are equally impressed.  It’s worth noting, however, that a new company, that has never released a game before, is spearheading the project: Vicious Cycle.

VC has taken many steps to ensure that the game will have all the bells and whistles fans want.  Several of the original voice actors from Robotech have been recorded for this game, including the voices of Roy Fokker and Lisa Hayes.  Most of the music from Robotech has been re-recorded and re-mixed for the game, so there are sure to be many familiar tunes fans can appreciate.  To top it all off, the game is cel-shaded, and it looks almost exactly like the original cartoon did.  Watch out for this game, everyone, and be sure to add it to your list of the year’s must-haves.  Battlecry will be in stores for the PS2 and Xbox on September 23, 2002, and on October 7 for the Gamecube.

If you can’t get enough Robotech, then consider joining the Robotech eTeam, the OFFICIAL Promotions team for Robotech Battlecry.  For more information on how to sign up, how to help out, or how to earn sweet Robotech prizes, including a free copy of Battlecry, please visit:
