Yes it will.

Resident Evil Remake is one of the greatest games I\'ve ever played. Silent Hill 2 was above average at best.

silent hill > resident evil

its like saying you like 13 ghosts or house on haunted hill instead of say exorcist, or suspiria

the RE series relies on cheap shock horror tactics, where as SH uses good suspense and just plain creepiness

dont get me wrong, the RE series has been great for the most part, but it will never match what the 1st one achieved. when the SH series gets better

heck, clock tower was scarier than RE

Resident Evil > Silent Hill
Resident Evil 2,3 > Silent Hill 2
Silent Hill > Resident Evil 2,3,Code Veronica
Silent Hill 2 > Code Veronica

That\'s my breakdown

And I still belief that the original (and even more so in the remake) Resident Evil relied MUCH more on creepiness than the others in the series. Almost as much as Silent Hill. After that, they went too commercial.. more guns, more zombies, cheap shocks, no suspense.

If nothing else, it relies on sheer panic instincts (particularly in the remake, tighter corridors, less manuverability) Those hunters will scare the living shit out of me every time

Which is quite similar to Silent Hill\'s creepiness for the most part.

agreed

RE in 96 was the peak of adventure horror gaming, BUT no other RE title had been close to that

the SH series took over

i cannot believe you would pick RE3:nemesis over SH2

After RE1 I was disapointed with the next Resi\'s.BTW I prefer SH1 over any Resi.
Is it true that Silent Hill3 will be directed towards more action than previous SHs?I dont want the series to suffer from the same cause that ruined the Resi series.

Apparently there\'s a machine gun in SH3. At least it was shown with a machine gun.
