Compared to WRC first of the name the models of the cars were completely remade with more than 20 000 polygons per car (against 8000 on WRC). The modeling of the cars was extremely neat with tons of details then allowing spectacular deformations and damage. The cockpits were completely modelled, pilot and copilot included/understood.
Martin Kenwright, chairman of Evolution Studios, precise: "Each car thus has 20 000 polygons, which is well far from all that is currently available or soon available on the market. Modelling is extremely complex because of the hundreds of different animations, the wheels, the parts of the body and the different panels. We also improved the mapping for all the cars, so that they resemble more those of Gran Turismo than those of the WRC of origin, and we are really satisfied."
