heh actually unless we (human species) figure a new way to build processors we will still see (maybe) a 4ghz processor.

anyways i wonder how much this proc costs, bah its probably some amount that i couldnt afford anyway :p.

Well, since the latest top processor was 2.8 GHz, I doubt this will cost much more. At least the 2.5+ GHz will be even cheaper. :)

And I doubt 4 GHz is the limit Tyrant... :p

I was reading in a magazine (I forget which one tho) that the current way we build processors won\'t allow us to get much further.

They said they next thing is building "3D".  Building them up, basically.

I thought it sounded kind of stupid, myself.

I know there\'s a limit somewhere, but as I said, I doubt it\'s 4 GHz. More like 10 GHz or something. After that they\'ll have to figure out some other way of doing it.

Yep I read that. however I was much more excited about IBM\'s mew PPC970, which seems like quite a beefy lil\'cpu. 900Mhz fsb :eek:
