Hmm, those of u who have not even reached lvl 50 in EQ, realy dont know much about the game, so no need to whine about it at all. I respect those of u who dont have time to play a game like EQ, but dont play it at all then, EQ is for the geeks that have time for it and enjoy doing big quests that require time, challenge and even some camping. EQ is all about having a goal in the game, first it may be lvl 20, then 50 , lvl 60, epic, getting different keys to different dungeons, killing a bad ass mob together with your guild and be the first to do it on the server. Most of this goals can be achieved, if u have time to it. If u know u dont have time to camp those jboots, or dont have time to lvl to 60, the game can quickly be very boring... because u dont play it enough to achieve any goal at all, and u end up just fooling around. MMORPG`s is not for casual gamers at all, go back and play GT3 or something if 1 or 2 hours is what u can spend for 1 day or so.
As for EQ for PS2, I doubt it will be better then the original. I also doubt any hardcore EQ gamers from the pc community will even try it, and I also doubt FFXI will be a big success compared to PC MMORPG titles. The reason is simple as this, MMORPG`s is designed for PC, same as FPS games is designed for PC and RTS. It simply dont work in the same good way on a console. And to the guy who said DAOC is better then EQ, I kinda disagree, even though we all can have different opinions ofcourse
But the graphic is worse then eq, and it should not be since it is a newer game. The world is smaller, the gameplay isnt as good as EQ, not as many mobs, the characters looks boring (lvl 50 character doesnt look as cool as a lvl 60 eq character).
As for me, EQ2 is the only mmorpg that interest me, and Shadowbane. But Shadowbane I wont have the time to play, so I wont even try it
