Well has any one played it? Is it any good?
I\'ve heard both good and bad on it, how about from some one who has played it

I bought it! PLayed like 2-3 hours. Takes a while to get all the moves right. Once you master how to use the stealth dash properly the battles become pretty fluid and elegant. The game kinda reminds me of DMC. However is certainly not as groundbreaking nor it tries to be.

More variety in the backgrounds and enemies would\'ve made this game so much better! Instead we get the same boring enemies and lifeless backgrounds repeated all over (at least for the first 2-3 hours that i played). The gameplay is still very fun and the backgrounds/enemies could get better as the game progresses. So far i think the ratings have been spot on. I think it honestly deserves a 7 (out of 10). The game is good but not great.

I think Hotsuma is a cooler looking character  than Dante but Dante\'s combos are still unmatched. The game is still a must have title for SHinobi and bloodthirsty action fans and when available for 19.99 as a greatest hit it will be a must buy for everybody!

If you liked:
Gungrave
DMC
Onimusha
Contra

You might get a kick out of this one.

If you are looking for a game that can keep you glued to ur tv for 2-3 hours straight this aint it. There are games that are meant to be played in long sessions like FFX, Baldurs Gate, Resident Evil, etc but there are also top notch games that provide  20-30 minutes of super fun and then get a little tiresome after that.

I play Virtua Fighter 4 religiously almost every day of the week for like 30-40 minutes in Kumite mode. During those minutes im in Heaven. The game is just very very fun in small bursts. I think  Shinobi is that kind of game too. The game is a lot of fun in short bursts but tends to get a bit tedious in long sessions. U wont notice the game flaws until u have a long gaming session with it.

The cool thing about the game is that there\'s a stage select (gotta love games that have stage select) and every level has a steep learning curve. So you can play replay the stages and improve ur performance. The stage select certainly adds replay value to the game.

If you buy this game in hopes of having a long ninja session with ur Ps2 then u will feel this game deserve a 6 or 7 out 10.

BUT

I you buy this game with the right aproach to it ( ITS A VERY MODERN ARCADE GAME meant to be played in small bursts!) then this game certainly delivers an extremely kewl ninja experience. Certainly worthy of some great ratings like an 8-9 out 10.

BTW did i mention that Hotsuma is the coolest most bad ass looking character to ever grace the Ps2? WOW
