Does Ratchet & Clank Suck!!

Alright, I have a question.  I bought the Winter Jampack that had a playable demo of R&C on it.  Played through the first level no problems and even had some fun.  (The city level)

The next level availabe was Blackwater or Black something...anyways, there is a bunch of water.  I got to the point where I had to set off the water and it started filling up the rooms as I was running.  Well, I could never run fast enough or swim fast enough to keep from drowning...did I miss something?  

Anywho, it pissed me off and I struck it out from my must-buy list for the time being.  I love platform games and am willing to give it another go, but not if there are instances in the game that keep you coming back for trial and error.

Keep pushing R1,X and forward at the same time repeatedly.Its the only way.Your heli-pack will help you move far distances that way.

As soon as this game comes in- ill pick it up. I cant wait for a good game to keep my seat warm. (GTA:VC wont be in for good month or so )

I decided to dig up an old R+C thread rather then start a new one

I agree with most of you.... R+C surpasses J+D in storyline, objectives, and fun !!!!!

I love the worlds, the humor, and the blowing shit up

the weapons/gadgets are very interesting and creative and they\'re  balanced extremely well. The game encourages you to use almost all of them

R+C is the best platformer on the PS2 and arguably one of the best platformers ever made on any system

Sheesh, some more of this and R&C is getting more positive feedback than it honestly should

The game kicks soo much ass, but I can\'t play it at the moment because my PS2 took a trip to aqua land (see OT)

I just beat the game a few days ago.... looking at the goodies menu, I\'m suprised there are so many things to unlock.

Keeping your weapons from the previous game is definitely a big plus, too.

This is easily one of my favorite games of the year... so damn fun.
