I\'ve said it before and I\'ll say it again, pugs are the downs syndrome versions the canine world. how anyone could buy a dog like that is beyond me, they have no value whatsoever.

It\'s a dog, which is a pet. The "value" they bring to people varies on what the owners want. Like dogs that are funny and attracts women? Get a pug. Got small dick syndrome? Buy something that will bite your face off.

your argument in the case for pugs is somewhat hypocritical when saying those that buy certain breeds do so to compensate for failings elsewhere.

if you have personality and/or looks, you don\'t need a dog to attract women. by your reckoning, those that buy pugs are effectively saying "hey look, I\'m devoid of looks or substance, but I have a pug!! women please come and talk to me".

working dogs are useful, and are not just for treating small dick syndrome. most people that get dogs of this nature are not doing it because they feel inferior, they do it for practical purposes

want to have a dog that shows loyalty and can be trained to perform useful tasks? get a border collie or a german shepherd.

want a dog that does nothing but sits in the corner, wheezing, twitching, snorting and slobbering all the time? get a pug.

I like bulldogs because they remind me of my own personality and I think they look great.  The non-sporting breeds are usually much more playful and goofy.  They play well with children and usually with most other breeds as well.

I can also appreciate German Shepherds for their loyalty and ability to be trained, but I\'d have more fun with a bully anyday.

Yeah...i\'ve had a husky before....really smart dogs, and i love how their coat blends in with the snow during the winter months...I love how they look like mini wolves/coyotes....i know alot of cats in the hood are big on pits, but i\'ve never wanted one...if i were to ever get another dog, it\'d be a husky.
