Metallica\'s Back
« on: January 21, 2003, 09:16:32 PM »
After their bassist left, they found a sub-in bassist and are working on their album. to say the least im pumped up about it. Im just hoping they arent going downhill and make a crap album *cough* Megadeth *cough*. They wont release any information at all which is kinda annoying. would like to know a region of time it might be out. Main reason i worry about a crap album is that they made a song with Ja Rule which sucked big time, but i forgive them :). They started going slow with Load but it was still a great album, then Re-Load wasnt too good but the majority of the songs i like. Garage Inc. was good but was covers and the S&M was pretty cool with a metal group playing with a symphony(sp?). Just thought any metallica fans would like to know

p.s. i think their old stuff is better so i hope they go back to that but i doubt it.

And please dont bring the napster situation in. cuz moneys money, and this is their job and a job gets money. sure they have enough, but i would be pretty pissed if stuff i made was just being ripped off.

What? Load, Re-Load, and Gargabe Inc don\'t count as crap albums? Right.

Anyways, there really isn\'t much to discuss about Metallica nowadays. They were once arguably the greatest metal band and now they suck. There\'s not much more to add to that.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

IMO load and garage inc were good albums. garage inc wasnt even their songs so that doesnt count to much on how their music is. But i do think re-load was a very sub-par album and that they shouldve thought twice before releasing it. But there are a couple songs on that CD that are good(bad seed, fuel, memory remains, slither) couple more but i cant think of any off the top of my head.

I liked Metallica in the days of "Enter Sandman" and "Nothing Else Matters" and "One". I have no interest at all in their later music.

Ya, not as great as their old stuff but still fun to listen to IMO.

Master of Puppets is my second favourite album and AJFA is my first.

Their new album is set to be released in mid may incase you guys wanted to know.

They commented on the sound of the cd and said that they are going back to straight metal and laying off the bluesy sound of Load and Re-load.

But dont get to excited by that remark because they also said that it would not sound like their old stuff... they said it would be a new metal sound for them....
