Anybody here into PAINTBALL!
« on: January 28, 2003, 06:29:52 AM »
I have been involved in paintball for some time now and have enjoyed this sport very much. I have had such guns as the Spyder XL and the PMI Tracer with sniper barrel and scope. I now own a fully modified Bottom Line by 32 Degrees. It has the capability to strategically place a welt on a frog’s butt from about 150 feet. It may not be the best equipment but hey, I spend most of my money on gaming so this is considered a second hobby of mine. Do any of you paintball?

What gets me is I spend about 3 to 4 hundred on my entire supply (gun included) and then find that the guys with the compressed air powered Autocockers and those with the Bob Long specials get their buts whooped all over the arena because they don’t want to scratch their new guns. I love it; they are such easy targets. Of course, you do run into the hard core guys from time to time and I will say that there have been some guys that I do literally fear. The game is, shall I say, tits!

yeah, my VM is about 8 years old now, and i would never replace it

here\'s what it looks like if noone ever saw
it was one of the 1st semi-automatic guns

only mod i ever got for it was a remote tank extension cause the gun weighs over 8 pounds as it is

countless time, i have seen guys with thier new expensive guns lock up and get shot while my VM keeps pumping out round after round

I love paintball myself.  I have a Spyder LP, with an Armson Stealth 16" barrel.  I almost exclusively play woods ball as well.  I only play speed ball over the winter at an indoor place around here if we\'re playing after hours, so I don\'t have to deal with whining 13 year olds with $600 guns.

I agree, there is little more satisfying than seeing a bunch of little brats with expensive guns, bragging about how cool they are, and then absolutely wrecking them in a game.  That\'s what it\'s all about :)

Hey mm! I just checked out that gun on eBay and it looks like I may have a chance at getting one cheap. Thanks for the positive comments on the gun. Looks to be a tough one.

When I first got my marker I decided to go cheap considering that I have busted a few before. I went with my 32 degrees bottom line because I could get it for fewer than 100 bucks. I soon became attracted to the accuracy of the gun and how easy it was to take it apart, clean and modify. I put an expansion chamber on it and a smart parts “tear drop” 14” barrel.

The next gun I get I was thinking of going back into compressed air considering that the benefits of never over cooling the chamber of the gun. I guess that will be when I got the money though.

the VM will be THE most reliable gun you can get, and VERY easy to maintain (break down and clean)

its clunky and heavy tho
