I played this game to death for the Dreamcast. It\'s pretty damn good if you play with the right people and not cheat like a mofo.

and if you got the cash to go with it.

Soul Reaver probly played v.1.. which was and still is free to play online. Really tho.. it\'s not that expensive. Roughly about the same you\'d pay to get online with an Xbox game. Unless, chatting is a big factor (which it is, but people are managing without a KB) and then you\'re looking at roughly 75 to 100 bucks for a Keyboard. The modem is an investment into future online titles for the Cube so it\'s something you\'ll probably wanna pick up somewhere along the line anyhow.

As for the monthly fee being 9 bucks a month.. pfft.. that\'s chump change. I piss away more than that in the vending machines at work. Actually, that\'s how I pay for it now. I switched from buying two 20oz pops at work to jus stocking up on 2liters and bringing them in. Saves me about a dollar a day.. 20 bucks at the end of the month.

If you\'re thinking of getting into online RPGs.. then expect to pay above and beyond just the cost of a modem and yer ISP. That\'s just the way it is.. be it PSO, EverQuest, FFXI, True Fantasy Online, whatever.

My best advice right now is to just find a friend who wants to check it out too. Buy it.. try it online for your first free month.. and if you don\'t want it, jus sell the game and modem to him. Jus be sure to use http://www.PSOExplorer.com to set up your account so you can transfer it to yer friend easily.. just to ensure that nothing happens when you go to cancel since you ARE on a automatic billing subscription that draws the money directly offa yer credit card every month.

Yea, I\'m looking forward to FFXI. I don\'t even know how the game would play.
