I feel a little disapointed but i got to remember that Greg is the most difficulte critic ! But i also feel that he tried to be objective , even tought it sounds like he does not like RPG\'s !

Anyway , if it would have been anyone else it would have been closer to 9.0  :) ahh well 8.1 from Greg is pretty good ! can\'t wait to play this Epic of a game !

PS : why did Suikoden 3 have 9 in graphics and Xenosaga have 8 ? Xenosaga has clearly better graphics

And also , i think he was not fair in giving the gameplay 7 , i feel this is more a question of taste !

anyway enjoy the review  !

Xenosaga and Suikoden III are two very different games in terms of graphics.  It\'s all a matter of taste and style honestly and he just more than likely enjoyed the style of Suiko a lot more.

As for gameplay, in the review, it says that the game has a great deal of cut scenes where you watch the game ad nauseum for hours on end.  There is a huge amount of cinematics in the game and it\'s hard to believe until you play it yourself.  However, with an RPG, although story is a great thing, you can have too much of it if you find yourself sitting and watching far more then actually playing and when it comes to turn based RPG\'s, which are limited in terms of gameplay, the score is going to get knocked a bit.

  yeah... matter of taste seems to be the case with Mr Kasavin.... alot of ppl found it kinda strange he gave Splinter
Cell on Xbox a lower score than MGS2 Substance.

Looks like DC2 has been there top rated game so far for PS2 this year.

Don\'t all reviewers base their scores on a matter of taste?

Opinions are odd little things.

I\'m going to rent it first...every review I\'ve read said the game is full of cinematics whether they\'re real time or cg.  Like hours of it!

FFX only had 3 hours and that was gratting on my nerves...it just moved so damn slow!

Hopefully someone will post some impressions soon.  I\'m interested in just how much story telling is told, how the battle system works, and the overall difficulty of the game.
