Circus Performer Accidentally Slices Assistant Live on TV

Knife thrower Jayde Hanson was demonstrating his record-breaking knife throwing skills when one of his daggers sliced into the head of his assistant, Yana Rodianova, live on British television.    

Over a million viewers were tuned in watching the act which is part of the Cottle and Austen Circus when the accident occurred. "Oh my God, there is blood, quick -- get her off," shouted the horrified TV presenter.    

Yana, also Hanson\'s girlfriend, is giving up her place as his assistant: she has her own hula-hoop act. Hanson\'s previous assistant left after being hit 3 times. "In 11 years of performing, I\'ve only hit my assistant on five occasions,"said Hanson.

no not really... if you (like i was watching it live) it was on the cards that something like that was bound to happen sooner or later.

I didn\'t see it live but I saw pictures in the newspaper. It was a knife that had already been thrown that slipped down onto her head apparently. Just a small cut, nothing major.
