Huh?? What has playing PS2 games on an emulator has anything to do with a pirate??

In fact, i\'m playing my PSX games on my PC now...still have some outstanding backlog to clear!!! Anyway, it\'s great playing on an emu, you get superior graphics!!!

Imagine all the PS2 games next time running in hi-res on ur PC!!! Woo-Hoo!!!

An emulator for PS2... Not in 5 or so years. How are they going to emulate multiprocessor hardware (PS2) with a single processor PC? And besides, the EE is still almost as powerful as the fastest PC processor so for a PC processor so emulate the PS2 in software it has to be a lot more powerful than todays processors.

Hell, look at the emulators for PSX and even the Amiga. Even they aren\'t 100%, at least the ones I\'ve tried. Sound and CG movies are often choppy.

No thanks. Emulators suck for the most part, better with the original hardware and controllers in front of a TV IMHO.

^ you\'re right JP. Over at the IGN Metal Gear Solid boards there\'s this girl who is very nice and loves MGS.
But, she\'s also quite a Sega fangirl who hates Sony\'s guts, so
she has refused up until now 2 get a PS2. She plays MGS1 on
PC and her DC Bleemcast and MGS2 Substance on her aging Pentium 1.6 ghz pc. She\'s got a Cube for Sonic games and she\'ll be getting Twin Snakes for it. Like Paul, she also said she\'ll get a PS2 emulator when MGS3 arrives ROFLMAO  :laughing:
But besides her Sony hating, she\'s a nice person :)

btw. just look at this

PC minimum requirements (gap gets bigger with recommended req.) (while our PS2 runs the games at 294 mhz and 4 mb video ram, plus maybe a scart RGB or s-video cable for sweet visuals) ;

Splinter Cell (xbox born):
Processor: 800 MHz Pentium III or AMD Athlon processor
RAM: 256 MB of RAM
Video Card: 32 MB video card

Silent Hill 3 (ps2 born):
1 GHz Pentium III or Athlon processor (or equivalent)
256 MB RAM
GeForce3 Ti/Radeon 8500 Video Chipset w/32MB VRAM
4X CD-ROM or 2X DVD-ROM drive

My goodness...have u people even use a PSX emulator before??

The emulator isn\'t iillegal, only ROMS are. A PSX emulator is not like the emulator of yonder years whereby you have to download an illegal copy of the ROM. You can play the original CD-disc in ur PC!!!! You can\'t download ROM anyway for PSX coz it\'s too freaky big to be converted anyway!!!

I can\'t believe some of u people are still living in the 90\'s.
