Here is the deal;

I play drums, and am going to customize them. I am getting a new finish for them, and want to change the hardware color.

Right now- its the usual chrome- but I want it black.

Its just metal as you can guess- nothing really out of the ordinary.

But Im wondering what could I use to make it black?

I was thinking Car Engine Spraypaint ; but would it work?

Anyone else have a suggestion?

This is my drum wrap finish Im going to get. $250

I would think you could use any enamel paint. Just prep it real good.

But wouldnt it just slide off? It has a chrome finish on it.

Well you will need to scuff it up. That\'s why I was saying to prep it real good.

DO you have a paint store in your area? Like one for auto paint?

Ask them. THey usually know their stuff.

Its a vintage Tama Superstar.

Its in a custom mahogony wood.

Covered drums;
2 Floor Toms
2 Mounted Tom
Bass

Actually I was goofing around in paint and drew a lame setup of my drums;

What are the blue ones? Roto toms?

Pretty sweet looking setup.But you need double bass,not just double pedal.If you get two different size bass drums makes double bass sound better.(well IMO anyway)

Custom Metal Drums.

They are about an a centimeter thick, just metal wrapped around with a top.

They are pretty cool when playing industrial stuff, along with the keyboard and everything.
