Same ol\' game with updated graphics.... exactly what I wanted to see.

They need to work a lil\' bit on the jaggies tho.

looks alright. too bad these types of games are a dying breed. last shooter i bought was blazin lasers for the turbo-graphix-16.

I\'ve never been a big r-type fan, but the concept has always intrigued me.

It\'s really the shooter genre that has swayed me away, but this game looks really advanced and what not.

I love Blazing Lazers. I still play it. Anyway, unlike most people i never tire of good shooters. I have never been a big R-Type fan. The whole attachment and charge thing just wasnt enough for me. What they need to do is come out with is Thunder Force 5. Anyway, i might check this out. Rather play einhander.

Looks... it doesn\'t look as polished as I thought it would. Surely those aren\'t final screens.

2-player R-Type, hmm... It would be cool if you could opt for a co-op game like in Tyrian 2000; Player one controls the main ship, and player 2 takes control of the force?

To me, R-Types are the only real try-to-shoot-em-\'up-and-shout-in-agony-as-you-try-and-try-again -games. Mmmh, yummy.

Eek gads and deer gonads, someone remembers me still? I couldn\'t even be arsed to look when I made my last post, but I guess it\'s been a while. Since I don\'t have \'net at my apartment anymore, I do most of my surfing at school and the library, and it\'s pretty rare that I get lost in here with so much catching up to do elsewhere (fark, somethingawful, darwinawards, onion, smokinggun, etc.).

And since I\'m a poor (eh, financially) student living on my own now, I\'ve had to severely cut down my gaming life. In terms of diversity that is, I still play Frequency like crazy, and I\'m still waiting for Amplitude, it\'ll be the first full-price game I\'ve purchased in about a year, whow :p

WHY THE F-WORD AMPLITUDE ISN\'T OUT HERE YET! S-WORD! DAMN!

there is a playable demo of it in the new Official US PLaystation Magazine......it is pretty cool 9+ ships playable different weapon types.....  the boss battle is a pain tho.........
