Here\'s something I wrote, maybe you\'ll gleam some new info from it like what happens when your wrestler becomes popular and stuff.

Girl-on-Girl Wrestling Action Heading to PlayStation 2.

By DAN DOLL
In what can only be described as a fit of marketing genius, Konami has announced a wrestling title that will surely appeal to every man\'s perverted, inner-thirteen-year-old-child.

With its emphasis on sexy female characters, "WWX: Rumble Rose" will follow in the footsteps of titles such as THQ\'s "WWE Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain" for PlayStation 2 and Namco\'s "Dead of Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball" for Xbox.

"Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball" gave players a chance to hit the beach with several bouncy babes from the beautiful "Dead of Alive" series of fighting games. In the end, that one turned out to be more of a voyeuristic, guilty pleasure than a volleyball game.

"Smackdown" was a little more subtle in its female flaunting. Tucked inside its complete World Wrestling Entertainment experience, "Here Comes the Pain"
offers an option for pitting two female wrestlers against each other in the aptly titled "Bra and Panties Match." First woman stripped to her skivvies is the loser.

"WWX: Rumble Rose" looks to find a happy medium in gratuitous sex appeal by balancing a roster of half-naked ladies with some solid wrestling gameplay.

Konami and "Smackdown" developer Yuke\'s Entertainment are promising an intuitive control scheme that encourages players to string together moves and taunts to create unique attacks.

Players can change the personality of their favorite grappler by choosing to fight dirty or fair. The resulting persona will manifest itself through changes in costume, attitude and wrestling style.

Konami promises popular wrestlers will earn benefits including additional moves and more revealing and flamboyant costumes.

"When Konami approached us with the concept, we could hardly wait to get started," Yuke Taniguchi, president of Yuke\'s Entertainment, said in a recent press release. "We are excited to develop a new style of wrestling game - one that provides a high quality wrestling experience, but also introduces humor and a whole lot more sex appeal."

An early build of the game will be available to the press in March, but don\'t expect this one to reach store shelves until November at the earliest.

"WWX: Rumble Rose" has not yet been rated by the Entertainment Software Association. The real question is if there will be enough controversial material to push this one from a Teen rating to Mature.

Oh, and fans of Acclaim\'s "BMX XXX" take note, the women of "Rumble Rose" will be staying securely in their tops for this one.
