Some1 suggest a good multiplayer
« on: January 23, 2004, 08:14:02 PM »
Need some help. I\'m heading back to college and I would like some multiplayers for me and my friends to play.

I was thinking of trying freedom fighters. Anybody care to weigh in on this game and make suggestions on others?

Thanks for the help

Are you restricted to just ps2? Xbox has some decent online games.

Counter-Strike for PC.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

One of the best games ever created (and least played at the same time) is Project Eden on PS2 or PC.  You can play up to 4 players co-op (in the main story of the game) or in battle arenas.

You should be able to pick it up for next to nothing as it is one of the older PS2 games.  That is the only game on the PS2 that I can say really did it for me in multiplayer co-op.

If you\'re looking for normal fun blasts then get Timesplitters 2.

Champions of Norrath-  If you liked Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance then you will love this game.  Unlike Dark Alliance 2 player only mode, you can dungeon crawl with up to 4 players.

If you and your friends enjoy hack and slashers with a twist of RPG, check out Dynasty Warriors 3 or 4.

I\'m gonna say Timesplitters 2. You can link PS2s together and have a big multiplayer battle.

The linking ps2 together thing never really caught on with u gotta have 2 tv\'s 8 controller 2 multi-taps blah blah blah
just stupid.

The next sony console better have 4 ports. If they did 6 wouldn\'t it be innovative:stick:

Yeah I agree, linking ps2s is a pain.  Back in the day me and a buddy used to hook our ps1\'s together to play some F1 racing game.  But it was a pain in the ass to bring a second TV upstairs.

With the iLink though, you probably can run wires between the two rooms, given you have enough wire.

Never done the linking thing on either PS1 or 2.  Too much effort... and money (Extra TV, game, link cable... unless you have a friend with all of the above.)
