Walking Tall
« on: April 08, 2004, 02:32:32 PM »
Saw the movie today and I must say it was pretty damned good.  They spent more time building the story than they do in most action movies, and when the action started, it had much more of an impact thanks to the building up to it.  I know alot of people will crap on this movie because it\'s an action movie, but I really enjoyed it.  And on another note, The Rock has quickly become the go to guy for good action movies, I have yet to dislike one of his flicks.

yeah it was ok. I understand it was based on a true story.
They ended up killing the guy in real life.

Funny thing though he went to jail and trial all in the same day.
well it sure seemed like it.

I was entertained, but I wouldn\'t go as far as saying it was a godo movie. I thought it was a little over the top at parts... Like the big bad guy driving around hickville in a pimped out, white Escalade... Some of the acting was weak too... But I wasn\'t expecting Schindler\'s List, so overall it met my expectations and I enjoyed watching it.

Definitely better than Hellboy.

Yeah, I liked it too. So far Rock is doing good with Scorpion King, Rundown, and Walking Tall.

His next couple movies change up the roles for him, so it\'ll be interesting to see how he does.

Rock\'s dialogue at the craps table was a pretty cool scene, I thought.
