As I understand it, the agreement between parties is that the winner is paid by the show. Going to court in that court televised involves both parties consent, something most wouldn\'t agree to otherwise.
It\'s like the payment for the loser being humiliated on national TV.

Then again, it was a ticket involved, not any money owed. Perhaps it\'s different with that sort of thing.

hmmm..that\'s not how i understand it...i thought that it is indeed true that both parties are paid a sum just for showing up, but ultimately whoever loses has to pay the fine enforced.
