Poetry contest...
« on: March 15, 2004, 04:37:42 PM »
Alright Im serious, lets have a contest to see who can write the most beautiful, maybe funny, tear bringing poem.

Here is mine. Ive had this for a while, and have always thought about it.

Why go on?
Red is green because green cant see the beauty of bloodshed,
of love and hate, of death, decay and bloom,
life is forgiving, because at the end it leaves you,
and leaves you for dead to toll on your mind,
the living can live, whilst you decompose,
its like taking a bath in ancestory, of ignorance and shame,
living the dead, is better than dying of life.

Well c\'mon you ****rs!
Think for yourself. Question authority.

A New Day

Cracked halo, begin anew
I drive along this lonely highway one more time
Staring at what passes by in a blaze of light
Wanting, wanting to see what\'s really there
Watching the sun crawl up it\'s well trodden path,
I go down this lonely highway once again
shattered sky, shattered clouds
I watch the sky as I drive by
The high star blinds my eyes
What\'s my destination again?
Just keep driving I\'m almost there
I watch the people go by in a blur
As the golden life rests it\'s weary eyes I ponder
Why aren\'t others here?
What\'s their destination?
Oh well I\'m almost there
There it is in the blanket of night
a flash of light
two beams that signal the end
Here I am

Down the River

It\'s coming here again in a bright flash
Along the river bend, the dam has split.
Here comes the flood, a raging spirit rash.
I can\'t do anything to hinder it.
I\'m flooded and I\'m overfilled again.
In shambles, I am utterly a mess.
I\'m underneath the murky depths, and then
There is no way that I can take this stress.
I can\'t do it again; I cannot flee.
It snarls and hisses as it nears my ear.
Somebody, won\'t you come and rescue me?
It won\'t be stopped; I\'m frozen from the fear.
I\'ve everything and everyone to lose.
How do I stop something I didn\'t choose?
Wrong. There are two other people who can.
Dark Lord Sith\'s.
Demon\'s named Phil.  -LIC

I wrote my school\'s senior poem... I could try and scrap it up if I can find it... Be warned though, its not dark and gloomy like the ones posted thus far. Its got a "happy go lucky" feel to it.

The only reason it was the senior poem is because it was the sole entry.

And you had help writing it too!

\'Babylon\',  By MPT

LIFE.....
The Beginning of the end.

I am the oval, flat-bodied insect of the family Blattidae

Never again will I taste the sweet splendars of performing the action of biting and grinding with the teeth; to ruminate; to meditate.

I am the cockroach.

I am the arthropod.

We are the Victims.

Together we will seize the positions of and defeat conclusively.

come with me to the city of the dispersion of the tribes.
