Who thinks this is a shoe-in to beat Resident Evil for the videogame-based movie crown?  Not a fan of Woo at all so time will tell...

John Woo is somewhat washed up, last I checked. There\'s a good chance that a Woo-helmed Metroid would be worth seeing, though.

wow, lets look at john woo\'s last few films

broken arrow
face off
mission impossible II
windtalkers

he might have directed some of the finest action films ever made, but he sold out long ago.  i would give michael bay and brian de palma more credit these days

At least he mentioned the games and that he intends to stay true to them.  Mission Impossible II and Face/Off are two of my favorite action flicks so my hopes are high.

I still think Jennifer Garner would play a perfect Samus Aran.

MM: You almost forget about Woo\'s latest film, the terrible Paycheck with Ben Affleck.

Terribly received, anyway. 22% on Rotten Tomatoes, 5.8/10 on IMDb, and the reviews were scathing.

You have to relaize John WOO became mainstream, as soon as he began to direct holloywood, cliche action movies.

Before he went holloywood,  John was at his best.

If you want to see what made john woo what he is today rent the movies he directed before broken arrow, ie: HARD BOILED etc.....

By the way MM, MI2 was by far the worst movie WOO has ever directed, he totally soild out for this film. Just TRASH.......

I actually like Replacement Killers.  Mainly because Sorvino semi-wears an undone shirt throughout the flick.  You guys are pervs.

John Woo didn\'t direct The Replacement Killers...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

ah SHlT, my bad I got that confused cause of CHOW-YUN-FAT and the fact that when the movie was out on theaters, the media was saying a jhon Woo like film.

Replacemnt Killers was directed by Antoine Fuqua
