Anyone playing Poker??
« on: May 12, 2004, 07:37:52 AM »
Just wondering, I have played for a couple of years mostly Texas and Omaha. Is there any more pokerplayer here on psx2c?
And where do you play? Ladprokes, pokerstars?

Any interesting hands or badbeats you want to share?

I play Texas Hold \'em a lot with people I know offline.  I\'ve played on Pokerstars some, but I don\'t like online play as much.  It seems like something is missing from the game, you know?  I\'ll have to think of some of my favorite hands, perhaps I\'ll post some later.  But yeah, I love playing poker :)

Chinese Poker aka Big 2 is more fun...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

I\'ve played my fair share of Hold \'em, my uncle is about as close to a professional as you can become.  Every time he goes to vegas he brings back thousands.  Well, he was teaching my dad and in turn my dad tought me some.  My luck is down in that game though, for playing thousands of hands the best I\'ve ever got is a two jacks, no pocket rockets for me!

Playing Poker online is pretty stupid since 90% of the game is bluffing.

That is true, but when I play with my friends from a game, we wager Points from the game, and they are worth something, so there isn\'t much bluffing and it is actually very fun. :)
