I read somewhere that the biggest reason they use 50% papaer is to cut cost.  As you can see, blank disc media are dirt cheap to produce.  But by using 50% paper and 50% plastic, it will make it even cheaper to produce...

hey, they could also use it as an excuse for recycling and using recycle paper...shrug...:hat:
