 10 year career mode, all the extra options, create a driver mode WooHoo!

From uk.playstation.com:

Formula One 2004 continues to refine the Grand Prix experience and maintains the series\' status as the finest console F1 simulation around. Still totally exclusive to PlayStation 2, the latest seasonal update features the latest car liveries, up-to-date driver rosters and a host of new gameplay modes and features, including online Time Attack play, a full Career mode, improved commentary and bonus vehicles.

Formula One 2004\'s new Career mode brings the total number of single-player modes up to a whopping 9. You\'ll play as a (fully customisable) driver embarking on a 10 year-long career in the thrilling world of F1 racing. Along the way, you\'ll be able to move teams between seasons, get promoted, demoted or fired depending on your performances and generally get involved in every aspect of a typical Formula One driver\'s professional life.

You\'ll be able to keep track of your virtual racing life thanks to a \'home\' screen that gives you access to a full communication system, complete with emails, faxes, internet news pages and newspapers. You\'ll also be able to peruse your career statistics with the in-depth player history, check out the reputation of the 20 official drivers (which changes based on their performance throughout the seasons), and check the calendar for important dates.

On the track, a number of improvements have been made, including accurate weather for each circuit based on the time of year and enhanced commentary; the race commentator will now relay information on track temperatures and weather conditions, make comments relating to yours and the other drivers\' race histories, and even make predictions on how the race positions will affect championship standings. In addition, consistently perform well and you\'ll be rewarded with historical cars, fantasy circuits and even prototype vehicles.

If you\'re connected with a Network Adaptor, you can tackle the online Time Attack mode, a time trial that supports up to 20 human players simultaneously. While you won\'t be able to collide with the other players, you will see three ghosts - one for your own fastest lap, one for the fastest racer of the current session and one for the all-time fastest. Chat with fellow racers in the lobby area and organise your own public or private Time Attack sessions.
