Newbie hook-up question

Hi all--please forgive my ignorance as I am technically challenged!!  Just bought a Playstation 2 and am frustrated that I have to reach behind the t.v. (not easy as it\'s in a large armoir),  unplug the DVD player, then plug in the PS 2 video line every time I want to play.  Is there an adapter (splitter?), SOMETHING out there that will allow me to plug in both the DVD player and PS2 at the same time?  Thanks in advance!

Check with radio shack if you can. There are a number of ways to keep more than one electronic device hooked up to the tv.
Also, check to see if there are av connections on the front or side of the tv.They are sometimes hidden behind a small door.

Cant he hook the PS2 with the DVD player?

or plug your DVD through s-video and you ps2 trhough standard yellow rca plug

Are you from Europe and do you have RGB (Scart) ?

how many A/V connections does your tv has?  If it has more than 1, connect one to dvd player and the other to your ps2.  If your tv has a front connection, connect one of the two on the front and the other on the back...

What you need is an AV Selector

Thanks so much everyone for the replys.  A couple of quick answers---no, we live in the U.S.  There is only one AV connection and it is on the back of the t.v.  I took Guar\'s advice and went to Radio Shack.   The salesman there said that I need a 4-in-1 RF Modulator ($39.99). Is this my only option or would the AV Selector mentioned work?  Lastly, Nolaws (or anyone!) how do I plug the DVD through the s-video? (different type of plug).  If I could do that that might be the answer, but does it involve getting some kind of adapter too?

an RF modulator is only needed if you only have a coax connection on the back of your tv.  If you have composite (yellow, red & white plugs) you can go with an av selector.

Either way it will work, it\'ll just downgrade your picture quality slightly using a RF modulator.

So basically, go for the AV selector.

RF modulator = stupid.
