Fear Factors
« on: October 19, 2004, 06:24:42 PM »
Did anyone watched Fear Factors last night?  I did and I notice that when the guy plunged down to collect the tag money.  He was dunked 6 times down the pool to collect those money tags.  Afterward, the host counted how much he collected, he counted $38,000 total.  But I counted and it was $42,000.  He got $4,000 twice as the host counted it.

The host says, "$4,000 and another $4,000."

its possible the host forgot to add that $4,000 buck as he counted it.  I was surprised the winner didn\'t bother counting it.  Maybe he\'s just too laid back to realize about it.
So, afterward, this guy won another $46,500 total in Las Vegas Casino making him total $133,500.

But i calculated he could have won $6,000 more which total $139,500.

This is what he won from the game.

$1,000 from the beginning
$50,000 from winning the competition.
$42,000 from collecting money in the pool dunks.

that total $93,000.  Then he has to bet half of it in Las Vegas blackjack.  He won, and half of 93,000 is 46,500.  Add them together and gets $139,500.  Not $133,500.

Because the host miscalculated the amount that he got from the dunk.
If no one claim the $6,000, give it to me then.:p   Yeah, like that\'s going to happen.

I just find some of the game that Fear Factors play are somewhat malicious, and sometimes the calculation are off, too making it somewhat unfair.

Like the other night where I watch the competitors driive the car through the ram and make a flip.  Whoever goes the farthest win $50 grand.

Two guys made it very far and very close.  the First guy car was measured 71 Ft 2 inches in distance while the 2nd guy was measured 71 Ft 8 inches in distance.  But I gotta be curious since the tape measure could be off since its not going to be a straight line measuring the distance.  So, distance this close, I think it should be redo or something.  Or at least the guy that fell 6" short next to its winner should get some money since its so close.

but hey, that\'s just me being piss if i am that guy making this far and this so close to go home empty pocket.:nut:

me and the wifey have actually talked about goin to fear factor...i told her that i could do any stunt except s**t that deals with swimming.(ya\'ll know black folk can\'t swim :p)  and her thing was the swimming and some parts of the eating...i told her she would just have to man up on that as the eating segments are one of the biggest draws to the show...

i think it\'s mostly bulls**t tho,..y\'know how you\'re just sittin around talkin s**t about how easy it is for you to do somethin\' pertaining to that show? it was on that order...still i wouldn\'t mind doin something like that...whether i\'d win or lose i\'m sure it\'d be pretty fun...

Damn, you ARE a good sport. Not too many people could say that they would do fear factor and have fun despite them loosing.

Personally.... well i dont know. Some of the stuff doesnt seem that bad but i dont watch it that much for reasons that ive stated before.
