I learned my lesson on hype with Jak 2, then again with Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. I had hyped the games up to be what I thought they could be and in doing so I ended up making it very hard to enjoy the games for what they are.
I hardly keep up with previews now, I might look at a few screens and read an interview here and there but I always remind myself not to get caught up in it. I go in with little to no expectations and more often than not come away pleasantly surprised, if the game turns out to be shit then it\'s hard to get disappointed.
Killzone...it\'s a game with too many problems, imo. The frame rate is distracting and in some cases hinders gameplay. The friendly A.I. is really dumb and made it hard for me to believe I was in a team effort, the enemies are no better. The poor hit detection made it very difficult for me to want to keep playing once the game got more difficult. The art direction is top notch, however it\'s countered with LOD problems and the polygonal seams showing up way too often.
