read about the holographic disc in a popular mechanics.  

I also read that these new players, for HD-DVD and Blue Ray, will start anywhere from $1000-3000.  <---That\'s ridiculous.

Yeah...but everything is that expensive when it first comes out...it\'s a new technology...it\'s going to be a while before a lot more people can afford it without selling a kidney.

PS3 will play blu-ray and I have an inside scoop from a semi-reliable source that it won\'t cost $1000.

Of course it won\'t be 1000 bucks. If the PS3 was that much at launch, Sony wouldn\'t sell crap.

I can\'t wait until the next-gen advertisements begin :D I remember how excited I got when SEGA started their Dreamcast ads, and then followed by Sony. I got all giddy like a little school girl (don\'t ask)...
