According to a recent article at the Inquirer, "Cell" Processors for the PS3 could also be fabricated by a new extension to the East Fishkill plant being built by IBM. Production costs for this new extension are expected to be as high as $1 Billion, and the area is expected to cover 372,000 square feet. This could be potential good news for the PS3, as it lessens the chances of there being a shortage of PS3\'s at launch (Which is something that plagued the original Playstation 2 in America).
