I just bought my new PS2 a couple of days ago and I cant believe I\'ve goen so long without one :D.

I wanted to get FFXI but no harddrive support from the little ps2\'s  so I guess I cant play it :(.

What other online games are fun? and do they all cost money to play?????

Also I was wonderign if anyone can recommend a few games to get, new or old.

I recommend monster hunter, im still playing and will be online this Sunday,with the same name as in this forum.

Its free.Its like Diablo but the heroes go hunting and gain new armor , lots of excavation and secrets, lots of weapons.Ive been playing it since September.

Other free online games are,

Champions Of Norrath (Diablo ActionRPG type )
Starwars Battlefront
ATV Offroad Fury
Midnight Club Racing Online
Burnout
Warhammer Firewarrior
Killzone

I always had fun with Socom 2 online.  But I sold my ps2 a few weeks back, so i\'m consoleless till ps3, xbox next come out.  But my PC can tide me over till then.

I have Battlefront. Its fun but is dying down online. Does anyone still play SOCOM II online?

welll I got NFSU and been playing that online, loads of fun. I decided to return i and just go with 2 because i may as well get the newest one. But the online play suxors for NFSU2 SO I\'m gonna have to get the first one again. NFSU2 career mode kicks though :D.

I also got xenosaga, wow I\'ve been missing some good games! Has anyone played star ocean?
