Riddick receives high review score from GS!

The game seems awesome, I haven’t gotten very far yet, but from what I have played so far I like it a lot.

Very nice graphics, better then Doom 3, textures, models and lightning (D3’s hyped graphics engine, surpassed by a small Swedish developer team? Carmack must be crying in his bed!)

Cuz if the used Doom3, they would\'ve made a huge stink to improve their marketing. I doubt the publishers would care about the game not being in Doom3\'s shadow. But yes, very interesting indeed.

Where does it say the graphics surpass Doom 3?

edit- just saw the review video.  It actually says graphical glitches are a weak part of the game. :o   Still looks like fun though.  Maybe I\'ll wait til it hits the bargain bin if I like the movie.

Yes I am aware of that.

I dont own a Xbox so I never got to play it, the PC port is good enough though (its got the commentary thingy now, which I think is new, plus high res textures and better shader support), the game does not feel "consolish" one bit like other ports sometimes do (see Halo PC port).

The game just gets better and better, Im really enjoying the firefigts and sneaking parts [sp]Riddicks special vision rocks[/sp].
It runs fine on my PC at 1280x1024, with 2.0 shader support, so its pretty well optimised.

THX: I say it looks better :P The only glitches I have seen are in the cut scenes where the shadow sometimes look a bit odd.

I would never play this just because that movie was horrendous. Why couldn\'t they have spent time developing a new game with these graphics..

Kubbs, I was a disbeliever as well, but this is not based entirely on the film, just the character and backstory of Vin Diesel\'s character.  The game itself is friggin great.  It\'s a big surprise especially since it\'s based off a franchise.

It isn\'t based on the film at all.  The games takes place prior to Pitch Black which is prior to the most recent movie.

Movie was horrendous????? That chick was friggin HOT!!

my biggest gripe was if someone told you that they would pull your soul out of your body if you didn\'t follow them, then they even give a demonstration of what it looks like to have a soul taken out in front of your own eyes. In that one little demo of power that is the most proof anyone has ever scene of an after-life.......so wouldn\'t you just take the dudes word that he was telling the truth and submit to his religion? its not like your ever gonna see a christian minister reach down into the pupits and pull someones soul out...

meh, maybe I should of just stuck with oogling Vins muscles.
