^^Likes men.

Most good FPS should of some co-op mode. Perfect Dark, Halo, just cut the screen of the single player mode is solid adds a whole new dimension to the game.

Halo wouldn\'t be worth paying for without co-op lol.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

The driving levels in HL2 was downright terrible and made me lose interest in the game.

Yeah, they did drag on a bit long.

Especially when you had to wait 5 minutes for the game to load every 5 minutes you played.

The actual FPS gameplay was great, the driving sections was long and tedious. I understand it was suppose to give a variety but all it done was broke any motivation the game had established.

New screens!

NICE textures!  Best looking Xbox game!

Here thus, only for you, the first images in-game Half-Life 2 on Xbox. These photographs snuff starting from a playable version of the software are, certainly, of average quality, but they enable you all the same to assess the quality of textures, the level of detail of the decorations, returned water or the modeling of the characters. These photographs also make it possible to support the denial of certain rumours which implied that Half-Life 2 would rather be born on Xbox 360, because the software turns indeed on Xbox. The FPS of Valve Software would be planned for the summer 2005, in the United States.

Is it going to have the Deathmatch (didn\'t bother reading)? And why doesn\'t Valve do some kind of CTF mode, that is not third party?

Officially, Valve plans to release Half-Life 2 in late August 2005 as a purely single-player game, sans the multiplayer. Valve is developing the Xbox version entirely in-house with a 10-15 person team, using streaming technology to make it work, and it\'s bringing the entire singe-player game to the Xbox. No shortcuts, no missing levels, no futzing around. Valve suggested there might be downloadable content later on down the line, but wouldn\'t specify exactly what that would be.

Make sure to check our Video Interview with Jay Stelly, and our direct-feed videos too.

Technical Wizardry
Half-Life 2 was a massive game on the PC; 4 GB to be accurate. Attempting to bring such an enormous game to the relatively small Xbox, with its 8 GB hard-drive and its 64 MB of RAM, requires a huge amount of gusto and bravado, plus the technical chops to back it up. But we are talking about Valve, who continues to innovative, pioneer, and take creative leaps at every opportunity it can. So, it\'s not only possible, but the Seattle, WA-based developer is doing it -- and plans to improve several areas to boot.

Using in-house developed streaming technology, a difficult programming technique that Rockstar North uses for all the Grand Theft Auto titles and which has been used in numerous Legacy of Kain games, Valve can deliver a high-polygon, incredibly detailed environment in 480p to Microsoft\'s system. Valve\'s version of the technology enables the team to economically deliver a more exact amount of data required for a particular section in the game. The textures, models, and audio will all stream, while other parts of the game will be either pre-loaded or be pulled from the Xbox\'s hard-drive. This technique is much different from the usual PC technique, which is to fill up a massive bucket of data and dump it all at once on screen, using as much RAM as needed.

I don\'t remember what I said earlier about it, but this game should be played on pc only.  If not you\'re just cheating yourself.  Steal a pc if you have to, do something.

Agreed. Im sure it might look better in motion but those textures etc. up close are just nasty. Plus im sure more preffer the pc controls.

Like i said earlier, some incredible dev could probably make it look almost that good on ps2.

Maybe not, but it would be interesting if they could.
