Of course that\'s what rational thinking people believe. Like abortion, global warming is a political football.

I don\'t understand why some people think we can control mother nature.  Take Katrina and the levee\'s breaking - there is no levee in the world that is going to hold up to a Cat 4-5 hurricane regardless of how much money you waste on it.

Anyway, Core - what I am saying about abortion is even if this did make it to the Supreme Court and abortion was illegal on the federal level - states could turn around and make them legal within their own state.  If on the federal level abortion is ruled legal then it is legal in all 50 states regardless of what states like South Dakota want.

I am pro choice, but on the same level I don\'t think abortions should be like going to get a flu shot just because one/two people aren\'t willing to accept responsibility.  Though birth control is not 100 percent effective - I firmly believe 99 percent of unexpected pregnancy occurs because none was used.

I think kids should be given a test when they find out they are pregnant.  If they can\'t handle a baby themselves and both parents have shitty IQ\'s, then suck that puppy out of there...

No reason to have a dumb kid adopted.  Let\'s thin out the heard....

thats a lot more than u think. In my astronomy class my teacher said at the rate were going, in 100 years the temperature will go up 3 degrees and all costal cities will be under water.

But he also said that we dont know if the increase in temperature is from us or if were in a period of increase in temperature (same idea as ice age, etc) so its tough to say.

as for abortion, im kind of with giga, buts its impossible to regulate it..maybe, 1 abortion per woman? lol

Apparently a similar bill was introduced in Ohio among several other states.  I know the ban in Ohio is for any type of abortion (including ones to save the life of the mother).  The representative that introduced the bill is from cincinnati.  Makes me ashamed to live here.
Wrong. There are two other people who can.

This is rather twisted logic. Because we can\'t control these hurricanes, tolerate policies that may increase the intensity of these hurricanes?

I suppose that you oppose the ban on CFC\'s. After all, if we cannot affect mother nature, it surely was not our fault that the ozone was thinning.

It has been proven that carbon dioxide emissions cause warming through the greenhouse effect. The only uncertainties arise from whether or not the current scale of carbon dioxide activity is enough to cause warming on a global level. I prefer taking precautionary actions now over waiting until that fatal scale is reached.
