It was great seeing it go up again. I dont know what was better; watching the shuttle make its way to space, or all the men and women run outside, from their jobs to watch it go up and cheer.

Either way, it was a nice mid-morning treat

I expected disaster.. not any mechanical failure or anything, just that there was a woman behind the wheel for the first time :D

In all seriousness, yes we watched it here at work.. i\'m always in awe when they report how fast that thing goes... 17,000 mph

I saw it, the first launch I have seen live. Very cool watching from the camera on the tank seeing the seperation and then the thrusters fire.

Very happy everything went well, I hope it returns safely also.

Not everything went well. NASA is investigating if a piece of the rocket damaged the shield during the launch (very similar to the cause that provoked the last disaster).

Todas estas cosas se perderán en el tiempo como lágrimas en la lluvia.

I just read on foxnews that one of the thermal tiles on the underside of the shuttle broke away, they say no big deal but you know what that does not instill a great deal of confidence in me,

With all this technology...NASA really blows ass at fixing/correcting mistakes and preventing future problems.

The shuttles are kind of outdated. I know they did major upgrades and everything but I think its time to look to a new design.

Seeing the shuttle was pretty cool to watch though. I was in the doctors office when I saw it waiting for a shot so it was a treat to see. That and I was getting out of work.
