Speaker help....

I just bought a 5.1 speaker setup for my new computer.

Its not much- but its good.

Now I am using SB Audigy 2 Audio sound card, and my speakers are of the logitech make.

Every time I try to calibrate my speakers- the front right speaker makes a loud, and rather annoying chirp noise. I have to have calibration function off for it to work.

Any suggestions? Please!

IS the chirp part of the test?

DO you have a mic hooked up to your computer?

Usually the chirp is used to test how far the speakers are away from the center.

Either that or it\'s used to frequency balance your speakers.

Well, its more like a buzz.

Kind of like a blown speaker sound- but I know it isnt blown.

If you put your ear right next to the other speakers, they make it too- although not as profound. Probably because the front right speaker is the mastervolume one.

Could it be the speakers are too close?

edit: strange! Suddenly the distortion/chirp sound moved to rear left whilst activating calibration.

Might be interference from something. OR just shitty speakers.

if your speakers are still within 30 refund/exchange date of purchase, hurry.  Exchange it and see if the new speakers still does the same thing.

Put them in the freezer ?    Jk

Yes luckily the power outlets on the iceblocks are compatible.

- I fixed it, very long, and very boring process. I can still hear the beeping noise from the calibration program. ARGH!
