Nintendogs
« on: September 14, 2005, 04:40:05 AM »
So I got Nintendogs because I thought it\'d be a game my mom would enjoy too.

And I was right, but I\'m still disappointed.

I played it for a half hour and taught my dog a thing or two and took him for a walk. And it was ok, but it wasn\'t really fun. And at least for now, the game is just a picture of a dog and me poking at it and talking. It gets boring. But in short doses, I can understand finding some kind of appeal.

So I turned the game over to Mom and we discovered you can\'t start a new save file. And since my dog doesn\'t recognize her voice, the only thing we could really do was kill it.

So now I have to wait for her to get sick of it before I try it, and I\'ll play Kirby in the meantime.

But then I realized something even worse... Listening to someone play Nintendogs is fucking annoying, heh.

She picked my room to play so I had to avoid my own room or suffer through "Sit! Sit! Sit! Sit! Paw. Paw. Paw. Lay Down!"

Oh it\'s so aggravating. This went on seemingly forever.

I\'ve made a terrible mistake, heh.

I\'ll take Kirby for a whirl tonight. I\'ve heard good things...

Kirby is good.

As neat as Nintendogs is, though.. I knew I wasn\'t going to buy it.

I\'ve never been a fan of pet sims. Just because Nintendo makes one doesn\'t mean that\'s going to change.

Now we wait for a report from the Onion or a Penny Arcade strip about someone\'s Nintendog attacking someone or police using Nintendogs to sniff out drugs.
THERE ARE NO ORDINARY MOMENTS...

Can\'t say the game is even remotely interesting to me. The closest pet-sim, I even somewhat enjoyed was Seaman..

Elsewhere, Kirby\'s Canvas Curse is pretty bad ass. I haven\'t tried everything on the DS, but this is my favorite game so far. There\'s a few quirky titles coming up, but it might take Castlevania DS to unseat this one..

........*sigh*.........
I want Castlevania DS so bad, but I can\'t justify the purchase of a DS for that one single game.
