Wrong.

Black, white and metallic are technically NO real colors.

Human color perception is based on light frequency/wavelength.

A surface that diffusely reflects all wavelengths equally is perceived as white, while a dull black surface absorbs all wavelengths and does not reflect (for mirror reflection this is different: a proper mirror also reflects all wavelengths equally, but is not perceived as white, while shiny black objects do reflect).

With thanks to wikipedia and arts academy, we get to know the colors and non colors. Black, white and metallic are no colors.

Simple.Its too long and the person he will be talking to will punch him in the face for wasting his time when he could have explained all these with the word "white" and avoid the punch.I dont think anyone likes getting punched :D

Wow...no kidding. I learned that in 5th grade. I just think it\'s being analyzed a bit too much. Yes that is the scientific explanation of black and white, but this is a thread discussing which PS3 flavor you like the most, not a color wavelength and the human eye\'s perception thread.

Simple - its a bullshit way of trying to suck off Sony and saying..."they aren\'t offering different colors!". Not that it matters. Its no big deal. Just answer the damn question, which color will you get.

Black matches most of my stereo equipment, but not so shiny like that.... I\'ll get black or silver, but I\'ll have to see them before I choose.

I was merely pointing out that black wasn\'t a forgone choice for me because it doesn\'t quite match the rest of my stuff.

As such, I may go with silver, as it would stand out and look cool, but I\'ll have to see them first.
