PS2 HARD DRIVE + other questions
« on: September 23, 2005, 09:53:51 AM »
Just a few quick questions folks, (probably wont be quick but ...)

1 - Has anyone here added a HDD to a PS2, I have a few 40gb\'s hanging around doing nothing

2 - Has anyone ever connected a PS2 to a TV without a scart connection in the UK?

I am asking this as I just bought a second hand PS2 to play with!

cheers in advance!

I can\'t answer the first question but for the second question you can do it by using and RF connection via the ariel socket. You should be able to pick one of these leads up from any good game store.

RF sux0rz though. S-video would be better, but I guess you need another cable then.

1. Yes, if it\'s a pstwo, u need a usb hd.

for normal ps2, a network adapter with hd support.

If you\'re planning on playing games with the hd, u need hdadvanced or hdloader.

2. I use a VGA adapter and run it into my monitor.

USB is 2.0. I don\'t think they have made any new USB ports since.

I have the network adaptor and a hard drive installed in my "big" PS2. What do you need to know?
