supposedly this is new, I haven\'t seen this.

Its a video taken from from a large screen at CES

Unfortunately there are a few large heads in the way, but the footage is still worth seeing.

its from a CES Trailer, and it\'s supposedly realtime. Looks realtime ot me, but what do I

know

At this point, graphics are just universally underwhelming, aren\'t they? We\'ve pretty much been to the mountaintop I think.

I disagree. My Xbox 360 in 720p sure look smiles better then anything I have played on the original Xbox or PS2.

The mountain top is still ahead.

MAN! I used to worship that game on PSX! I loved the game play and physics of the game. I remember one of the creators of Warhawk emailed back to me coz I asked what was taking so long for the next version and explained they were busy making virtual combat stuff for the military.

But that was YEARS ago. Almost 10 years now.

Psygnosis was the developer. That company had reorganised and a bunch of things happened to them. Warhawk 2 was cancelled for the PSX. It\'s been a while but I think Wipeout XL  was there last hurrah.

I don\'t think Psygnosis is making Warhawk for the PS3, though.

Launch of the PS made Psygnosis big, one game after another.

With all that said - I\'ll be severely dissapointed if this game does not have ultra-cheesey cinema\'s. That was a classic part of the original.

u kidding me? the graphics look nice as hell. You may need to go in a embryonic chamber so u sleep for 8 years, THEN your expectations will be met.

But look at the ps2 launch. madden 2001, x-squad, SSX, etc looked great. But now u play madden 2003 or 2004, socom, and whatever the newer snowboarding games were and it doesnt even compair.

Nice graphics can be underwhelming.

Exactly, youll have to sleep 8 years to have as huge of a jump that would make it impressive to you. Not sure why the next generation console would be looked at as any higher than the best computer, which gets outdated in 6 months.

Were going to gradually get better from a new computer to 7 more years into the newest computer for the next next generation. So anything that the newest console can do is already going to be seen and done by pc users with $$$. The problem with computers is games update along with the hardware so it seems like a computer gets crappier and crappier while consoles stay the same, but thats because they have to make games that they know will run on the console.

not really sure what this post is for since were not really debating..cant change ur mind to be impressed,lol.

I read somewhere this will be one of the launch titles for PS3.

The semi-confirmed (=PSM interview with Kaz Harai) launch titles were: WarHawk, Lair and an unknown title, most likley I-8.
