what are you using for waxing your car?

Wax applications have many purposes.  They are protective, but they also add a visual enhancement to the finish.  If you take two brand new cars of the same color, then apply a wax to one of them and simply wash the other, I guarantee you will be able to tell the difference.  
 
By the way, you might want to consider buying a "grit guard" for your bucket.  It\'s a mesh that sits in the bottom of the bucket to prevent your cloth or sponge from reaching the bottom where the sediment collects.  Meguairs sells one version:

hmmm...learn something new everyday eh?..don\'t feel bad gman...i also thought that you weren\'t really supposed to wax your car for about a year,...when i first purchased my 89 240 sx when it was new, i didn\'t wax that thing for about a year, because the factory finish was so good...i didn\'t know much about waxing a car tho, i just used turtle wax, and as soon as i waxed the whole car, i would go right around and take the wax off....what i couldn\'t understand was how people would ride around for hours in their car with the wax still on their vehicle, the wax had to be hard as stone when they tried to take it off...

the salesman told you that? it\'s not like one has to wax a car is probably why. I do it out of pride for my vehicles not b/c the paint needs it. for all that i\'ll just get a paint job.

^^^good lookin\' out....i\'ve peeped out this auto body shop not too far from the crib, and they look like they do some decent work, i seen this mustang that came there with a smashed front end and within a couple of weeks it was finished parked in front of the place and it looked pretty good, granted i didn\'t have time to have a close up inspection, but from the road, the paintjob looked flawless...i just hope they don\'t charge me an arm and a leg...
